You Will Win

At some point in life, we all face battles that look impossible to win. The odds seem stacked against us, the crowd has written us off and even our own strength feels depleted.

In those moments, it’s easy to think the story is over, that defeat is final but as believers, we know something greater: with God, the appearance of defeat is never the end of the story.

The greatest proof of this truth is found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The greatest battle ever fought on the cross. It looked like Jesus had lost, the saviour of the world hung lifeless, the skies darkened and his followers scattered in fear and despair.

To the world, the battle was over and the enemy had won, the stone was rolled into place and for three days it seemed final. However, heaven had a different plan.

On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead, breaking the power of sin and death forever. What looked like the ultimate loss became the greatest victory in history.

The cross was not defeat, it was the setup for resurrection power. That same God who raised Jesus from the grave is the God who fights for you today. He has never lost a battle, has never been defeated and never will be.

When your situation looks impossible, remember that appearances don’t dictate outcomes when God is involved.

A closed door can become an open one, a dead dream can live again and a setback can position you for greater testimony. It might look like a loss… but it’s not right now, your life will look like friday at the cross; silent, painful and hopeless but Sunday is coming.

Just like the tomb did not hold Jesus, your circumstances can’t hold you down. What feels like loss is often God’s stage for the next great victory. When you put your trust in him, you’re standing on the side of the one who always wins. Hold On, you will win, you may not see it yet but in Christ, your victory is certain.

Scripture tells us: “Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57). So keep standing, keep believing and don’t give up at the sight of defeat. The story isn’t over and the same God who raised Jesus from the grave is the God who will raise you above your battles. With Him, you will win.
